(Before It's News)

The Martini-Henry was the classic British infantry rifle of the late 19th Century and the IV8888 crew take one outfitted with a peep sight to see if the rifle can reach out and touch it at distance.

The gun Eric is using is a 1888-vintage Martini breechloader that is using the rear sight from the Canadian Ross Mk.III (1910) and he has hand-loaded black powder (480-grain cast over 70-85 grains of Swiss 1.5F) .577/450 Boxer-Henry cartridges.

With Chad calling the shots, it does pretty good– especially for a 140-ish year old military rifle.
