Goat arrested for grazing in somebody else’s garden
In Chhattisgarh state, India, a goat was arrested after it was caught in the act of eating flowers and grass that did not belong its owner. The landowner filed a complaint with the police who found the goat grazing on the complainant’s lawn and quickly took the animal into custody.
The goat, whose name is Babli, is owned by Abdul Hassan. The complaining landowner is his neighbor, who is also a local magistrate. The neighbor has a bungalow with an iron gate but Babli jumped over the gate to reach the foodstuffs there. Worse, Babli is accused of recidivism- repeated offenses. The neighbor said Babli often jumped over the boundary wall of his property and gorged herself on his flowers and vegetables. He also said he had warned Hassan about Babli’s behavior many times. He keeps a garden, he said, and Babli’s behavior angered him so much this last time that he filed the complaint.source
