(Before It's News)

A media outlet linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guards last month released footage of what was purported to be a crack sniper drilling Daesh militants, but it turns out it’s just a game.

As detailed by the French Observers site, the above footage which ran on Iranian state television under such creative titles as “Six Daesh combatants are killed in 2 minutes by a Hezbollah sniper” and “Hezbollah sniper hunts down Daesh brutes” purports to show a team of marksmen described as being from the Iranian-backed terror group in Lebanon operating in undisclosed Islamic State areas, even using the Iranian-made Arash 20mm anti-material rifle to inflict their staggering damage on IS gunmen.

However, the footage still has EA’s Medal of Honor‘s “headshot” icon on the screen and options for MFOU and WFOU sights shown on the display, another in-game feature on the 2010 version.

The original Medal of Honor, of course, dates back to 1999 so its probably just getting to the Aloha Snackbar Game Exchange in Tehran this month.
