Nestled in that sweet vacation spot between Mt. Edgecumbe and Wdowiak Ridge, the Mars Opportunity Rover captured some pics of what some argue could be a handgun.
Now bear with us as this comes from UFO Sightings Daily, but it seems an eagle-eyed member there found four images taken in September 2014 at SOL 3773 and beamed back to NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) of what seems to be a handgun. Now they caution it’s a foot long, which would put it even outside the specs of the G17L, but they contend the images have not been altered in any way.
The Houston Chronicle argues it looks like Austrian polymer while we think it could go more towards the Ohio Zymak that is the Hi-Point.
Either way, we are waiting for it to be the subject of an Everytown report on gun safety and be tied somehow to the ATF’s gunwalking scandal in 3…2…
