(Before It's News)

Hickok45 continues marching on despite the best efforts by some to derail him and goes 15 minutes with the U.S. Krag Carbine in .30-40.

The interesting Norwegian-designed Krag–Jørgensen rifle, which dates back to the 1880s and was super popular in Scandinavia (go figure) before it was adopted in 1892 by the U.S. Army to replace the old Trapdoor Springfield breechloaders. Produced by Springfield Armory, the .30 Army (.30-40) caliber Krag was made in nearly a dozen variants before it was replaced by the much better liked M1903. Among those variants were the M92/96/98/99 Carbines for use by the horse-mounted cavalry and artillery troops that were fitted with a 22-inch (rather than a full length 30-inch) barrel and in some case even had saddle rings.

Hick has one of these neat saddle carbines (an M1899) on the table in the above video.

If for some reason it disappears he is, like other YouTube gun channels, mirroring his videos on the more firearms-friendly Full30.com as well.
