Japanese actor killed with samurai sword during rehearsal

A 33-year-old Japanese actor has died after an apparent mishap with a samurai sword.
Daigo Kashino was with several other actors at a studio in Koto, Toyko, going through some action scenes when the other actors heard him groan and turned around to find him hunched over and critically wounded.
Kashino was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.
The actors all say none of them saw exactly what happened, but authorities are investigating the incident and trying to determine whether Kashino’s injuries were, in fact, the result of an accident or a criminal act.
