New Social Network Project Aims To Make Facebook Obsolete

As questions continue to surface about Facebook’s alleged role in aiding illegal government surveillance programs that track and monitor citizens, people are growing restless for a viable social media alternative that respects both personal privacy and the rule of law. And we just might get that from “Miramir,” the “Social Network for Change” project testing the waters through a new Kickstarter campaign.

Max Sidorov, the mind behind the project, wants to develop a social networking experience that allows users to interact, create, develop and share information without the threat of privacy invasion and government intrusion. The Miramir project aims to integrate the current leading social media platforms into a unified, secure and completely private system that is sure to become an authoritarian government’s worst nightmare.
