The Kid

(Before It's News)

“The Kid” turns up in this blog from time to time.

Mainly because he's my kid brother.

He's one of a kind, The Kid.

The Kid has had one illustrious life, even though it may have been an unconventional one. Education wise he never really got past high school.

He got to high school alright, because mom used to drop him off at the front door every day. He'd walk through that front door, wave bye-bye to mom, and then proceed out the back door in search of more demanding educational challenges than the Guelph Collegiate was able to offer him.

Intellectually wise, he got way past high school. He was a guy with no high school credits but he read all three Toronto papers from cover to cover every day.

Yup, me and The Kid shared adventures galore. You would piss your pants if you ever heard his “best day of my life” story.

Oh ya; he was a master story teller!

But tonight he's chilling out at the Guelph General Hospital. Had a bit of a medical emergency. One of those bowel puncture things that you can only get with a knife or a bullet or an ulcer. I don't think he was ever an ulcer kind of guy, so I'm not sure who he pissed off.

Anyway, I'll be down to see you in a couple of days, dear bro!
