Not certain who was the aggressor, but Medows was punched, then fired the shot, pulled out the backup gun, and was arrested. It sounds as if it may be self defense.
An arrest warrant says that a physical fight occurred between 58-year-old Bobby Wayne Meadows Sr. and Jason Spriggs on Jan. 28 at Friendly Tire shop on Madison Street.
The investigation revealed that Spriggs punched Meadows and they began fighting. During the fight, Meadows pulled out a 9mm handgun and fired a shot at Spriggs.
