One of the favorite ‘punishments’ Muslim men impose on ‘disobedient’ women is throwing acid in their faces in order to disfigure them for life. Here is the latest out of Pakistan.
Cases like this are rarely ever prosecuted in the Muslim world because it is considered an “honor” punishment for a woman who dishonors a male suitor or her family. Much less frequently, it is also used to punish men for some kind of insubordination or humiliation.
The reason he knew she was a “patriot” is because there was a French flag on her T-shirt. When she returned to the cafe to copy down its name, the owner threw a pail of water at her. And this happened back in 2013, before Muslims started gunning down and bombing French citizens.
