The 1864 Hawaiian Kingdom Constitution is now available in app form, for iPhone and iPad (Android version to follow). Just tap each article on the screen and you can read the whole thing. Both English and Hawaiian.
The 1864 Constitution is considered the last legitimate constitution for the Kingdom of Hawai’i, and will be the one adopted when the Kingdom is fully restored. Recall that the more recent one, the 1887 version, was basically one written by the Annexationists, and is called the “Bayonet Constitution“, as the King (Kalakaua) was forced to sign it… or else.
This could be a great way to study what was in the last legitimate Kingdom constitution, right from your iPhone or iPad!
