American Tactical Imports issued an online letter on March 24, notifying owners of some ISSC firearms that they’ll no longer provide repair services.

The new policy applies to “firearms previously imported by Austrian Sporting Arms, Legacy Sports International and Anschutz.” ATI advises owners of these guns to deal directly with ISSC.

ATI will continue providing repair services for guns stamped “American Tactical, Summerville SC.”

Cited as the reason for this change is “a complete lack of support from ISSC.” The letter claims that ISSC, based in Austria, is failing to comply with contractual obligations to support repairs in the States. ATI will honor its in-house warranty policy only for these firearms.

Customers who have not secured a returned merchandise authorization before March 24 will not be serviced. ATI states it will return any firearms sent for repair after that date back to the owner with no action taken.

The apologetically-worded correspondence cites an inability to obtain parts from ISSC as the reason, and expresses “hope that ISSC will have an update for you on who their next U.S. repair center will be.”
