(Before It's News)

Failed presidential candidates John McCain and Mitt Romney are on a mission to save the Republican Party. Their winning strategy?  Kill off the likely GOP victor Donald Trump.

Earlier Thursday, preceding the March 3, 2016 GOP debate in Detroit, Romney unloaded on Donald Trump with a barrage of vitriolic hate speech unbecoming the gentlemanly image he strives to present.

The tirade was Trump’s payback for endorsing Romney in 2012 At the time, Trump said, “Mitt is tough, he’s smart. he’s sharp. He’s not going to allow bad things to continue to happen to this country that we all love. So, Gov. Romney, go out and get ‘em! You can do it.”  Romney was equally effusive in his grateful praise of Trump.

Now the worm has turned. After colluding with his Republicrat pal John McCain, Romney unleashed on Trump, declaring  the business mogul unfit for office and a danger for the nation and the GOP. “His is not the temperament of a stable, thoughtful leader,” Romney declared. He called Trump “a phony” who is “playing the American public for suckers,” a man whose “imagination must not be married to real power.”

Those words should more appropriately be reserved for the power-hungry and graceless John McCain, who has lied to the people of Arizona for decades, yet is running for another six-year term though he will be 80 by Election Day. Romney came to Mesa to campaign for McCain. But even in the LDS stronghold he was unable to draw a crowd, despite the suspenseful buildup.

McCain is so past his prime, he introduced Barack Obama as the next president of the United States, when he was supposed to welcome then-presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Not known for original thoughts. McCain shuffled into action Thursday denouncing Donald Trump after being chided for not doing so by Democrat challenger Ann Kirkpatrick. McCain’s had a career long propensity for siding with Democrats, from Ted Kennedy, Chuck Schumer, Carl Levin, Russ Feingold, to Dick Durbin and Robert Menendez, along with others in the open borders clique. Marco Rubio and Jeff Flake eagerly signed on with McCain’s RINO contingent comprising the amnesty promoting Gang of Eight.

Petulant losers have no audience, but that doesn’t stop them. We can. At the ballot box.
