Green tea is a popular beverage consumed all over the world, but is too much green tea bad for you? Researchers have found that high consumption of green tea impairs fertility function in fruit flies, along with impairing development of their offspring. As of now, the researchers are unsure if high consumption of green tea will yield the same results in humans, but the findings do warrant caution against large amounts of green tea.
Green tea is one of the least processed kinds of tea, meaning it maintains a high level of its antioxidants and polyphenols, which have shown to be beneficial to health. Previous findings suggest that green tea can aid in weight loss, help with cholesterol and protect us against many illnesses.
