The first time recruits in Marine Corps basic training get a chance to spend quality time with the Drill Instructors of their platoon is always a special Friday.
The recruits have already gone through receiving and, after getting a haircut and being issued basic uniforms, turn over every shred of their civilian life– even their underwear. But it is not until Black Friday that they get to feel the thirteen weeks of boot camp for really real.
