Eric and the IV8888 team a few months back ran a gas impingement AR-15 to failure and are now revisiting the test with a Lewis Machine and Tool piston upper.
In the past, the crew have tested Glocks and lesser AKs (a WASR-10 went through stacks of 75-round drums and 30-round PMAGs), then switched to an upper level VEPR build by Definitive Arms that delivered nearly 900 rounds in about five or six minutes before it locked up.
So to see how the LMT piston gun matches up to the old AR test and the AKs is interesting.
