Growing wheatgrass can develop mold because it is tightly bound in moist soil. If this occurs, the mold can make you sick. There are three approaches to help limit the risk of growing mold: Planting the wheatgrass in a less congested area to allow a proper air flow, watering less frequently, and spacing the seed so the growth is less dense.
