Police officers have warned women in the Swedish city of Ostersund to not go out alone following a series of sex attacks.
There have been at least nine cases of violent attacks against women after dark over the last few weeks, according to authorities.
The worrying trend has led local police chief Stephen Jerand to issue the advice to women.
He said: “It is always a consideration whether to go out with this kind of thing or not.
“But we don’t want to sit here for another week and have more crime victims on our desk.”
