Brian ‘Pigman’ Quaca back from near death accident (VIDEO)
Brian Quaca, host of Pigman on Sportsman Channel, had a lot to overcome after the car wreck that nearly killed him in December 2014.
The episode dedicated to his recovery after the accident called ‘Pigman Rising’ was one of the highest rating episodes on Sportsman Channel, according to Quaca.
Not much has slowed him down. He’s got some good episodes coming up in season five including hunting bush pigs in South Africa and a Maine moose hunt. As a result of serious damage to his right eye caused by the accident, he’s now shooting southpaw with his gun. “It’s a little bit tricky. I’m not as steady as I once was off hand.”
In the coming year, he’s excited to get back to his roots of gunsmithing. “I can sell as many guns as I can build.” says Quaca. Although he’s very happy with his current rifle sponsorship with Savage, he says, “There is a market for truly custom long range wildcat cartridge that’s not offered through any manufacturer today. That’s what I’m going to kind of get back into doing under a different brand.”
