the congress cut off funding for the Nicaraguan rebels, trafficked millions of dollars worth of cocaine into the United States to be converted to cash. This is the scandal known as Iran-Contra…Bush avoids exposure by letting Oliver North take the fall and then pardoning Secretary of Defense, Caspar Weinberger because he knows in Weinberger’s trial, Bush’s involvement would be revealed.” [26 min]
