A homeowner was in the middle of renovations when he told his contractors that he wanted electricity run into his barn. The contractors began digging to prepare for the wiring, but what they found stopped them dead in their tracks.
Luke Irwin, the homeowner, had electricians on the renovation project at his home in Tisbury, Wiltshire, England. They suggested that he swing the electric wiring overhead but Irwin insisted on putting it underground.
Once the digging began, Irwin felt his shovel strike something a bit more solid than soil. He then brushed back the section of dirt and saw what archaeologists are now calling a historic find.
“No one since the Romans has laid mosaics as house floors in Britain,” Irwin said. “Fortunately we were able to stop the workmen just before they began to wield pickaxes to break up the mosaic layer.”
There was an entire Roman villa underneath his home, and priceless artifacts were also uncovered at the site.
Dr. David Roberts, an archaeologist for Historic England, said: “This site has not been touched since its collapse 1,400 years ago and, as such, is of enormous importance. Without question, this is a hugely valuable site in terms of research, with incredible potential.”
Among the items uncovered were oyster shells that had not been touched by a single person in eons.
“Some of the oyster shells we have found have not been touched by another human for more than 1,500 years and now we have uncovered them lying around our house,” Irwin said.
“It’s a very powerful feeling”, he added, noting the discovery of the villa, the shells and a child’s coffin from that time, as well as a roman coin.
An entire excavation of the villa would be economically impossible at this point, but that hasn’t stopped Irwin from having fun digging up buried treasure anytime he feels like it. SOURCE

You can’t take your salvation for a test drive. You’re all-in or not.
Admit to Him that you are a sinner in need of forgiveness, that you are truly sorry for your sins. Acknowledge that He died for your sins, rose from the dead and lives forevermore. Invite Him into your life and to help you to turn from sin. Rejoice! You just became a Christian! Now trust in Him and get to know Him through the Bible which tells us everything we need to know and through prayer/talking to Him. He eagerly desires relationship with you.
