Ford unrolls ‘no profile’ light bars

It may soon become more difficult to spot police cars while your lead foot is in action thanks to Ford’s new “no profile” light bar.
The new design will be featured on the Ford Explorer Police Interceptor, which for all practical purposes, with the lack of the typical top-mount light bar, appears to be an average, ordinary SUV at first glance. The no profile light bars will be darn near impossible to see until they light up in your rearview mirror.
The lights are mounted on the top inside portion of the windshield and have the option to be set to alternate red and blue or flash red/red or blue/blue. The lights also have a built-in spotlight function.
