A “Mega Mega 7.3 Earthquake just hit Vanuatu and Tsunami Alert is in effect. Another source indicated that there is NO tsunami threat to Hawaii

A G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storm watch has been issued for the 30 April, 2016 UTC day. Isolated periods of minor storming levels are likely due to the anticipated effects from an enhanced solar wind environment due to a negative polarity coronal hole high speed stream rotating into an Earth-connected position.

A nearly 9 degree long filament centered at approximately S10W61
disappeared, as observed by a USAF ground based observatory, however no signs of an eruptive event were observed in other available imagery.
Another, approximately 5 degree long filament disappeared from near S25E35 between 27/0300-0600 UTC as observed in GONG/H-alpha imagery.
While some coronal disruptive activity was observed in SDO/AIA coronal imagery, no evidence of a CME was noted; nor was any CME apparent in SOHO/LASCO-C2 imagery.
No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available
coronagraph imagery.
