Update: 9/11 Choir Teacher Turns National Anthem into Lesson to “Obey Authority No Matter What”
As Orwellian as it was to for security to stop a group of middle schoolers from daring to sing the national anthem without a permit at the 9/11 memorial, the choir teacher’s response is much, much worse.
Listen to what she said about how she turned the whole thing into a “teaching moment” for her students during an interview on Fox News (where her class got to finally sing).
These kids have just learned the most important lesson in modern Orwellian America from their choir teacher: “You need to respect authority even if you don’t understand it.”
