7-year-old boy fights back against armed robbers (VIDEO)
A robbery at a Silver Spring, Maryland, GameStop store last week was captured on surveillance video and so was the moment a 7-year-old boy fought back against one of the assailants who was armed with a handgun.
No one was reported to be injured during the robbery and the suspects, who remain at large, made off with personal property and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The boy’s father, who did not realize what his son had done until after the robbery was over, later told reporters he believed his son’s instincts took over.
“He saw somebody who was a stranger, who seemed most dangerous to him, and he tried to defend himself,” he said.
