Everyone’s favorite gut swill just got a lot more patriotic:
Anheuser-Busch just decided to rename its flagship Budweiser beer to “America”.
The name change is only temporary from May 23rd to November 8th in order to quote, “inspire drinkers to celebrate America”.
To that end, they will also cover their beer cans and bottles in patriotic symbols like phrases from the Pledge of Allegiance and the Statue of Liberty. Reuters even made a DUI joke about someone getting pulled over for “enjoying some nice cold freedom”.
Yes… because freedom isn’t free. It costs $10.97 for a 12-pack at Walmart.
What an Idiocracy level joke…
Surprising they aren’t going to get Barack Obama to do a commercial for it. Then again, a lot of people are probably going to want to get drunk just to deal with what’s about to go down this November.
The punchline?
Anheuser-Busch moved to Belgium right after the housing collapse in 2008, so its technically not even an American company anymore.

Ooooo. Beer says America – me buy! Give me a break.
