Georgia cheesesteak joint will take your guns, no questions asked (VIDEO)
If you have a gun you want to get rid of just head on over to the Philly CheeseSteak Factory in Augusta and ask for the “Brown Bag Special.”
Restaurant owner La-La Alston says she will take your surplus firearm and dispose of it and give you a free 16-inch philly and $50 cash for your trouble.
A former gang member herself, Alston says she just wants to give back to the community.
“I want to help people turn they life around like I did,” she said. “I was a sho’ ’nuff dedicated Blood, I was your ride or die chick.”
She told WJBF that she has had about 20 calls already and one gun turned in.
“This is an opportunity for you to get rid of that gun and say I’m going to start over on my own,” she said. “You shouldn’t have to go to jail to realize that I’ve done something wrong.”
Alston did not volunteer how she was disposing of the guns.
