Hubble: Images Show ‘One of the Closest Encounters’ Between a Comet and Earth, NASA Says
The images were taken on April 4, about two weeks after Comet 252P/LINEAR traveled within 3.3 million miles of Earth. The comet is the closest non-moon space object Hubble has observed, NASA said.
