Families of victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting in Newtown are suing the makers and sellers of the rifle used in the massacre. On Monday, defendants made a plea to have the case dropped.

If they can make gun manufacturers and dealers negligent for how their product is used, they won’t need to worry about gun control. The courts will put a financial end to their manufacturing and sales.
