Race Baiting Michelle Obama: “I Wake up Each Day in House Built by Slaves”
At a commencement address at City College of New York on Friday, First Lady Michelle Obama once again brought race to the forefront, proclaiming that she wakes up every day in a house built by slaves.
Interesting that she’s lived there for what, eight years now? And it hasn’t really seemed to bother her much.
Even more interesting that some people in the response thread act like this is just a simple statement of fact and not a completely loaded, race baiting comment coming from the First Lady on a highly promoted podium propagating these points to create more division among the people. That’s something she has been very good at during her husband’s entire presidency. Divided we definitely fall… and they definitely know it.
Michelle seems to forget (or, more likely, purposefully ignore) how much the country has progressed since the time of slavery, considering America just elected a black president for not one, but two terms.
The responses to Michelle fell into two distinct categories: the camp where it has to be pointed out for the millionth time how racist everyone is simply because Michelle used the trigger word “slaves,” and everyone else who failed to feel all that sorry for her.

But the real truth that everyone wants to ignore? Slavery continues today. The government has turned us into a country of slaves, just like governments have enslaved their people around the world. Slaves probably sewed the robe Michelle was wearing in her speech. And if the White House was rebuilt?
