TND Exclusive Editorial: Eric Dubin
I’m cynical. But now and then, things happen in American politics that give me hope. Arizona State Senator Dr. Kelli Ward is running for U.S. Senator John McCain’s seat. When it comes to handmaidens of empire, Senator John McCain ranks at the top among the gaggle of Neo-Conservative jackasses that have captured most of the levers of American foreign policy, gravely endangering the American Constitutional Republic. Don’t like Syrian war theater refugees flowing into America and posing a terrorist threat? Don’t like how America is surrendering Liberty and flushing the Bill of Rights down the toilet in exchange for a false sense of security, all justified on the same terrorist threat our foreign policy directly amplifies? Read on.
American foreign policy is designed to maintain interests. Using terrorists as proxy forces is an established, off-the-shelf tool that is at the heart of America’s tool kit. It was refined and put into use in a very big way when Zbigniew Brzezinski, Jimmy Carter’s National Security Advisor, orchestrated Al-Qaeda with the help of interests from Saudi Arabia and other Persian Gulf states. Don’t believe me? Read the man’s own words in this very short article: Meet Zbigniew Brzezinski: The “Intellectual” Godfather Of Furthering The Development Of Terrorism Used As A Tool
John McCain has openly talked about his meetings with leaders of what he and others have attempted to describe as “moderate rebels.” For the most part, these foreign fighters do not lead Syrian citizens picking up guns in some sort of civil war, although there are disaffected Syrians that joined the cause. War and escalation was brought to Syria, and the United States is responsible, along with our allies. If it wasn’t for US policy, ISIS would be practically non-existent by now. Certainly — and just for starters — instead of coddling “moderate rebel” elements within Syria, years ago United States could have insisted that Turkey shut down the supply lines going to terrorist rebels, and taking similar steps when it comes to our Persian Gulf allies. But “regime change” is the US goal, not fighting terrorism. “Moderate rebel” terrorists serve as a proxy force, empowered to serve perceived Western interests.
Kelli Ward will be viciously attacked for her statement (see below). But Kelli Ward isn’t repeating some conspiracy theory. Senator McCain openly defended his meetings with terrorist leaders. Furthermore, in 2012 a secret State Department memo describes how Al-Qaeda in Iraq was morphing into terrorist forces within Syria, and how those forces would serve the US goal of regime change. See: 2012 Defense Intelligence Agency document: West will facilitate rise of Islamic State “in order to isolate the Syrian regime”. Nevertheless, the mainstream media will impugn her character and spin the narrative, because that’s what the mainstream media does.
Senator McCain is an ossified incumbent that does not represent average, American people. His “leadership” on domestic policy leaves much to be desired. His “leadership” on foreign policy is downright dangerous. Kelli Ward deserves to be Arizona’s next U.S. Senator. If you’re sick and tired of interventionist foreign policy and recognize that it destroys the American Constitutional Republic at home, support Kelli Ward. I do – and I live in Oregon.
Unseating Senator McCain will represent a win for the preservation of the American Constitutional Republic – what remains. But she has a real chance to #RetireMcCain.
