Welcome To 1984: This Startling Trend Will PROVE Something’s Not Right! Policing Your Children in School!
Just this week, the Department of Education released a startling report via the Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) — a nationwide report surveying public schools, and accounting for over 50 million children, in the 2013-14 school year. In this report, one major trend was shown: school counselors are DECREASING; while police officers/law enforcement are INCREASING! In fact, 24% of elementary schools and 42% of high schools have armed police officers. In schools with higher concentrations of minorities, that number skyrockets. Factor in the survey accounting for over 50 million children, and that means over 20 MILLION children nationwide are faced with some type of law enforcement every single day if enrolled at their respective public school. As if the public school system weren’t bad enough! NOW THEY’RE POLICING YOUR CHILDREN — LITERALLY!!! IT’S 1984 ALL OVER AGAIN!
