Every time a police officer feels he needs to take deadly force, the liberals cry racism and pretend like the land of the free and the brave is more like Nazi Germany. Despite all of the misinformation they propagate, the statistics tell a different story.
First of all, consider that cops killed nearly twice as many whites as blacks in 2015, per DailyWire.com.
Data compiled by the Washington post shows that 50 percent of the victims of fatal police shootings were white while just 26 percent were black. The majority of these had a gun or had otherwise threatened the police officer with some threat of “lethal force.”
More whites and Hispanics die from police homicides than blacks. Stats from the Bureau of Justice Statistics reveal that 12 percent of White and Hispanic homicides were due to police officers.
Unarmed Black Men are more likely to be killed by police officers than unarmed White men, but that doesn’t tell the full story. According to the Marshall Project, this stat fails to allow for the intensity of various police situations. Some were shot because of beating up the officer, some were shot because of an accidental discharge, and others were shot because they tried to grab the officer’s gun.
Black and Hispanic police officers are more likely to fire a gun at blacks than white officers. According to a department of justice in 2015 regarding the Philadelphia Police Report, black cops are 3 times more likely to fire a gun than other cops. This was also independently verified University of Pennsylvania criminologist Gary Ridgeway in 2015.
Blacks are more likely to kill cops than to be killed by cops. According to FBI data, 40 percent of cop killers are black. A police officer is 18.5 times more likely to be killed by an African-American than for a cop to kill an unarmed black person.
Couple this with the “Ferguson effect” and you have a recipe for disaster. Murders have spiked in many of America’s largest cities because of police officers avoiding dangerous neighborhoods.
Finally, twice as many cops have been victimized this year as compared to the last.
