Forrest, who is fighting cancer, said the man was after his pain pills. He said he yelled at the man to leave, but a fight broke out when the suspect refused.
He said he then grabbed his rifle. When he came back in the room, the suspect reportedly told Forrest he was going to kill him.
When the suspect opened his car door, Forrest opened fire.
