In her commentary “Trump Battles Globalist Republicans,’ Phyllis Schlafly provides the back story to Donald Trump’s visit to Capitol Hill — just days prior to announcing Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his Vice Presidential running mate — where he hoped to unify Congressional Republicans behind his presidential campaign. This is a must read article, since it illuminates congressional egos and the chasm dug ever wider with the tools of hostility and disloyalty. Trump’s message of putting America First doesn’t resonate with the globalists, who yammer about “protectionism.”
Schlafly, Eagle Forum founder, lawyer and conservative icon exposed Jeff Flake with these words:
Senator Jeff Flake (link not in original article) of Arizona openly mocked Trump at the meeting and then bragged to reporters about their “tense” exchange. Flake, an unrepentant member of the Gang of Eight that produced the 2013 amnesty bill, has already announced plans to resurrect that discredited bill next year no matter who is elected president.
Read her entire article here. It’s filled with facts you’ll need to know as we move closer to Election Day. The marginal Flake, a first term senator, will be running for another six-year term next year. He needs a challenger before he becomes more deeply entrenched. We’re currently experiencing the unseemly spectacle of the egotistical octegenarian John McCain, Flake’s amnesty mentor, running for six more years at age 80.
