(Before It's News)

Phoenix VA Hospital scandal just the tip of the McIceberg

Breitbart News reports that John McCain backed a visa program for Afghani interpreters and their relatives that is funded by imposing higher costs on U.S. military veterans’ health care. The extent of the entitlement programs detailed in the link is sure to make your blood boil.

“It’s time for the Senate to stop treating U.S. immigration policy like a Christmas tree that they can simply add more baubles to on a whim,” a press release from NumbersUSA sent to Senate offices read. “Americans have to pay for each of those baubles — through higher taxes, fewer jobs, lower wages, and, tragically, higher health care costs for soldiers and their families.”

To no one’s surprise, McCain’s office declined to respond to queries from Breitbart News. John McCain spearheaded the program.

The Daily Caller News Foundation previously reported that congress cut healthcare benefits to veterans in the 2016 budget by increasing pharmacy co-pays — using money accrued from those savings to fund an expansion of the Afghan Special Immigrant Visas program. The money could have been taken from other spending accounts — such as programs at the State Department.

We urge you to read both linked reports. Despite his claims to the contrary, John McCain is no friend of our military. The VA Hospital scandal, resulting in the deaths of dozens of veteran’s, took root right here in Phoenix, under John McCain’s nose.

Is it any wonder the Second Amendment restricting John McCain is ranked as the least popular senator — with the worst polling numbers in America? In his home state of Arizona where elected GOP party officers overwhelmingly voted to censure him, only 30% of the voters approve of the job he’s doing.

We have the opportunity to make a much needed change during the upcoming Primary Election.  Dr. Kelli Ward  is a family practice physician, mother, military wife and former state senator with proven conservative credentials. She is running to bring conservative values and a much needed vibrancy to representing the people of Arizona.  Her husband Dr. Michael Ward, is a Colonel in the Air National Guard, where he serves as Flight Surgeon. He has been deployed world-wide including voluntary tours to Kuwait, Iraq and Turkey. This is a dedicated family that will make us all proud.  At 80, John McCain is running for another 6-year term. You do the math.

Mark your ballot for Kelli Ward.
