NPR Promotes the Idea of a Carbon Taxing Us for Having Kids Because We’re Causing Climate Change

(Before It's News)

baby

In a long fearmongering fluff piece titled “Should We Be Having Kids in the Age of Climate Change?” about how the world is overpopulated and too many people = man-made global warming so we’re all gonna die unless we stop procreating, NPR is promoting not only all of that propaganda, but the idea that people in developed nations should be carbon taxed by the government for having children.

By 2050, it is estimated that every developed nation on the planet will be facing a population with twice as many elderly people as young people. This is happening all over the place. As the workforce shrinks and older citizens retire, countries like Japan that are suffering what has been dubbed “demographic suicide” are actually trying to pay their younger populace to reproduce.

NPR and its current climate change profile darling Travis Rieder, Assistant Director for Education Initiatives at the Berman Institute of Bioethics at Johns Hopkins, say they should not only stop doing that immediately but should actually tax people for having kids at all.

For the sticks part of the plan, Rieder proposes that richer nations do away with tax breaks for having children and actually penalize new parents. He says the penalty should be progressive, based on income, and could increase with each additional child.

Think of it like a carbon tax, on kids. He knows that sounds crazy.

“But children, in a kind of cold way of looking at it, are an externality,” he says. “We as parents, we as family members, we get the good. And the world, the community, pays the cost.”

Two things.

First, as with all eugenics plans, this one would obviously benefit the rich and wealthy who could afford to pay such a tax and thus, afford to have more children. So the wealthy will be the only ones having any kids. We all know it won’t matter if the tax is “based on income,” not considering how the majority of people’s incomes are these days, especially in America where the middle class is being systematically stamped out and pay rates have long ago stagnated while the price of everything needed to survive including food and utilities continues to skyrocket.

He also conveniently ignores the fact that birth rates are plummeting below replacement rate everywhere, except in some African and Middle Eastern countries where death rates are abnormally high. At this rate, the world’s population growth isn’t going to simply reach zero and hold steady. Eventually it’s going to start dropping, and when the freefall begins, it’s going to be fast. Then we’ll have an entirely different “population problem” to deal with, and overpopulation won’t be it.

Think Children of Men.

This is all going according to the Rockefeller Eugenics Slow Kill Plan. David Rockefeller talked about it himself.
