Save humanity and all life from destruction!
James Albertini
War, especially nuclear war, and human made climate disaster, are the greatest threats facing our world today.
The U.S. has a permanent war economy that requires endless enemies and endless wars.
The U.S. Military is the world’s greatest polluter. It is the single largest consumer of oil and the largest emitter of of CO2 greenhouse gases.
It has caused extensive radioactive and chemical contamination of the planet’s air, water, and soil, including the Hawaiian Islands. Leaking massive underground fuel tanks threaten fresh water sources on the Island of Oahu.
Pearl Harbor, once a rich fish breeding area is now a military toxic super fund site. Chemical, biological and radiation weapons have been test fired on several island.
The 133,000-acre Pohakuloa Training Area in the center of Hawaii island is contaminated with a wide rage of military toxins, including Depleted Uranium (DU) radiation. Yet this base continues to be used as a live-fire bombing range resulting in the spread of this toxic pollution, endangering the lives of troops, residents and visitors alike.
The U.S. is currently waging war in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Yemen, and elsewhere. The enemy is ISIS but the U.S. is the daddy of ISIS. It helped create ISIS. Now the U.S. is surrounding Russia and China with military bases resulting in increasing tension and the risk of nuclear war by accident or design.
Hundreds of nuclear weapons are being pointed at each other and the weapons are on hair-trigger alert.
Meanwhile President Obama has authorized the spending of $1 Trillion dollars over the next 30 years to modernize the U.S. nuclear arsenal which is already capable of destroying the world many times over.
Surely we can find a better use of such funds to heal our planet, rather than cause more death and destruction. Let us unite to stop this madness and put an end to war.
August 6th and 9th are days to remember the U.S. atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 that killed hundreds of thousands of civilians. It is a time to reflect and rededicate our lives to building a just and peaceful world for future generations.
Remember Hiroshima & Nagasaki. Never Again!
