A BLOOD RED moon looms menacingly behind the New York skyline in stunning pictures captured by a photographer.
Jennifer Khordi, from New Jersey, was 25 miles away when she snapped these incredible images of Manhattan on Tuesday.
Describing the sight as “one of the most amazing things I have ever seen” the semi-professional snapper shared her pictures on Instagram and Facebook.
The enormous satellite can be seen dwarfing One World Trade Centre, its deep red hue more akin to Mars.
Jennifer said: “It was just absolutely amazing to see this.
“I plotted this shot and lined up with a lookout 25 miles from Manhattan.
“I think the best one is where the moon is directly behind the World Trade Centre.
“I have always wanted to get this shot. The moon is a fickle beast.”

Blood moons are caused by a lunar eclipse, when the earth passes between the sun and moon.
When the moon passes through the shadow cast by the earth it appears red, as sunlight scatters through the earth’s atmosphere.
The sight of a blood moon has been taken by some as a prophecy of a coming apocalypse.

You can’t take your salvation for a test drive. You’re all-in or not.
Admit to Him that you are a sinner in need of forgiveness, that you are truly sorry for your sins. Acknowledge that He died for your sins, rose from the dead and lives forevermore. Invite Him into your life and to help you to turn from sin. Rejoice! You just became a Christian! Now trust in Him and get to know Him through the Bible which tells us everything we need to know and through prayer/talking to Him. He eagerly desires relationship with you.
