Stevens — the economical brand of hunting guns by Savage Arms — has expanded two shotgun series for lighter chamberings.
First, Stevens has made available the 555 series of over-under shotguns in 28 gauge and .410 and are on their way to stores now.
The Connecticut company says the 555 has a “scaled-to-gauge lightweight aluminum receiver” that “employs a steel insert that reinforces the breech to maximize strength while keeping weight down.”
Features include a Turkish walnut stock and fore-end, shell extractors, a tang-mounted manual safety, a chrome-lined barrel, and a single, selective, mechanical trigger. The shotgun also includes five interchangeable choke tubes. Retail price for both the 28 gauge and the .410 is listed as $692.

Second, Stevens expanded its 320 shotgun line with two new 20 gauges — a Muddy Girl Camo and Youth model, both listed at $264
Like other 320 field-grade models, they feature dual slide bars, a rotary bolt, rugged synthetic stock, vent rib and a five-round capacity. Both models include interchangeable chokes and come in compact and standard length of pull models, finished in Muddy Girl camo.
Savage is part of outdoor and sporting goods giant Vista Outdoors.
