Students Hand Out Dildos for ‘Cocks Not Glocks’ UT Protest
Students at the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) are protesting a new state law that allows guns on public university campuses by concealed handgun licensees. The movement to hand out nearly 5000 dildos was established to mock what many consider an absurd notion that guns should be allowed on school grounds, but students receive a citation for taking a dildo to class.
The new law, which went into effect on August 1, has stirred quite a bit of controversy. Founder of the #CocksNotGlocks movement, Jessica Jin, decided enough was enough and it was time to take action. The UT Austin student successfully organized the anti-campus carry protest and began the protest on the first day of the school’s fall semester.
