Chicago police arrested Karl Burnett, 23, after he was identified as one of the men who opened fire on another man sitting on a porch on the city’s south side.
According to the police, Burnett and another suspect walked up to the porch and started shooting, but did not strike the victim.
Officers in the area responded after hearing the shots. As they arrived, the witnessed Burnett pick up two handguns before running away and giving officers a brief chase.
Burnett was arrested and identified as the shooter. Officers also recovered two 9mm handguns.
