The capital city of the autonomous region of Andalusia has become the latest Spanish city to join the global Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel known as the BDS. The city council of Cadiz passed a motion declaring it a space free from discrimination against the Palestinian people. It joins 50 other Spanish cities and towns which have adopted the BDS campaign in an attempt to raise awareness of the discriminatory policies of Israel toward the Palestinians.
