Kp Message 9-16-16… “Some days… I just turn the phone OFF“

(Before It's News)

160731_kp_kilauea_p1010160_crop_240_11There are times, days, when I just turn my phone off. Part of today, I did just that. I got a couple of rings while I was outside doing some “work”, then I heard a couple more while reading, and finally I just turned it off.

Then I did some other work on my beautiful house, blogged a bit, walked in the yard and got barked at a lot by two of the little dogs that now live here (and had been let run free around the yard and the owner was not home so I waited til the dogs got back in the house and closed the screen; please pardon, but I am not a “barking yapping yipping growling for minutes on end” dog person… I don’t like noise!).

So I suppose this particular posting is partly about allowing space for Self to just BE. Staying away from “the blog”, staying away from “answering every call”, staying away from “going on missions”… and just enjoying a cup of tea (in tonight’s case, Turmeric Ginger tea from Sereni-Tea in Mt. Shasta).

Yes, claiming the freedom and joy of BEing, is quite a bit different from wishing for that freedom and joy. There are times when I just “get tied up” in DOing stuff, errands stuff, buying foods stuff, or “I’ve got to call this person” stuff, or “I must visit these people” stuff, or even “I’ve got to see that latest episode of Cosmic Disclosure” stuff.

So whether anyone out there likes this or not, there are times when I just “need” to shut off that sometimes “barking yapping yipping growling” world “out there”. And no, it is NOT always an “inner message I need to listen to” when the “barking yapping yipping growling” world comes around. Sometimes I just need (and choose) to SHUT IT OFF and SHUT IT OUT.

And even though I generally live by facing some challenges head on, there are days like today when I remember the phrase uttered by a wise person…

“There is no problem so great that it cannot be run away from.”

Aloha, Kp
