Aaccording to a report from Fox 23 News, A Tahlequah police officer is under investigation after threatening a man at a bar in Tahelquah.
Tahlequah police officer Skyler Green was placed on paid leave beginning August 1, 2016. Authorities say Officer Skyler Green is being investigated for allegedly abusing his power.
According to reports, an incident occured at Ned’s Bar in Tahlequah in which Green threatened to come up with a reason to arrest a man.
Acoording to reports the victim, Daylan Shaw, was having a drink at Ned’s when his ex-wife, Aariel Eubanks, arrived. According to a report, Aariel Eubanks works for the assistant District Attorney Rachel Dallis, and agreed to meet up with Dallis at the bar.
According to the report, Dallis, Eubanks, and Shaw got into a heated discussion that turned into a loud argument.
A manager at Ned’s told Eubanks to leave. She agreed to leave and angrily walked out. However, after Eubanks left, she tried to get back in.
The report states, the security guard stopped Eubanks from entering. She then sent Shaw a text message stating that she has more power than the security guard.
According to the report, Officer Skyler Green showed up in his patrol cruiser. He walked past security, and walked towards Shaw.
According to reports, Shaw claims that Green angrily said “If you ever harass Aariel again, I will take you to jail for anything that you do: DUI, public intox, anything I can get you for!”
According to the report, Shaw claimed that the Assistant District Attorney threatened to break Daylan Shaw’s jaw.
According to District Attorney Brian Kuester, Dallis was not placed on leave.
No word from the Tahlequah chief of police Clay Mahaney, or from the District Attorney of Cherokee County Brian Kuester about the incident in which Officer Skyler Green abused his authority to Push Shaw around.
