Another Hoax: No, RuPaul Didn’t Accuse Donald Trump of Grabbing His Genitals
A clickbait story about RuPaul and Donald Trump put out by one of those fake political websites that is reportedly known for making stuff up without any basis in fact whatsoever is trending on social media and people are believing it and sharing it even though it’s not true.
This time, the story revolves around RuPaul supposedly making the claim that Donald Trump inappropriately fondled him and tried to kiss him at a party in 1995.
The accusation:
“In an exclusive interview with the Hollywood Inquirer, RuPaul said that Mr. Trump ‘made a move’ on him during an event celebrating the release of the movie To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar. The artist was wearing his full drag queen apparel at the time, and he says Trump clearly mistook him for a real woman.
“‘I had just come out of the bathroom when Trump jumped on me and kissed me,’ he explained. ‘He started grabbing my a** and pulled my dress up to grab my genitals. He suddenly became very angry. He started yelling and cursing, and he left the party. He just wanted to use me as an object…I’ve never felt so dirty in my life! In a way, I was saved by the fact that I’m a man.’
“RuPaul says he found Donald Trump attractive before this incident, but that he was shocked by his rudeness and vulgarity.”
The comments, however, were never made. This never happened. To prove that point, Inquisitr also pointed out that RuPaul has made no references to any of this on his Twitter account, and the comments RuPaul has made about Trump do not reference this “revelation” in any way… because it didn’t happen.
The fact that it’s complete bullhock didn’t stop the story from receiving over 43,000 shares on Facebook alone.
So many accusations are being levied against Donald Trump right now, it’s hard to keep straight which ones are real and which ones aren’t. The guy has actually done some pretty seedy stuff on his own without the need for ridiculous over-the-top made up stuff on top of it.
It’s as if the system wants its attacks on Trump to be as overt and conspicuous as possible… Now why do you suppose that is?
