(Before It's News)

Egyptologists still don´t clearly understand what this motif signifies, despite the analysis and interpretations of Symbolist scholar, Schwaller de lubicz, who wrote: “…There is this moment which cannot be located in Time…I call it the Present Moment…This [Egyptian Aker Lions] symbol…is the eternal Present Moment…the Present Moment is Eternity…The Present Moment…is outside of Time.” —Schwaller de Lubicz, Symbol and the Symbolic, 1951 According to de Lubicz, the sundisk in the center, perfectly balanced between the twin lions, represents the“Eternal Present Moment,” outside of time. In this interpretation, the sundisk itself symbolizes the soul balanced between Yesterday and Tomorrow, and so centered. In other words, to locate this eternal present is to find our “soul within” or “higher Self” within. This is Mastery, and this is our task in life, according to the occult doctrine.

Richard Cassaro is a journalist, speaker and author of “Written In Stone: Decoding The Secret Masonic Religion Hidden In Gothic Cathedrals And World Architecture.” The book uncovers a lost Wisdom Tradition that was practiced globally in antiquity, found memorialized in pyramids, Triptychs, and identical images worldwide. The central tenets of this tradition have been perpetuated in Western Secret Societies. The most visible of these is the so-called “Masonic Fraternity,” an age-old chivalric Order whose ranks have included Europe’s Gothic cathedral builders and America’s Founding Fathers.
