News from court in the Bundy Malheur Occupiers trial today in Portland, Oregon is that disputed Juror #11 HAS been dismissed for cause. Yesterday, Juror #4 sent a note to the Judge when Juror #11 began deliberations by stating he was biased. Juror #11 is a former BLM employee, which came out in voir dire, but the Juror was accepted. He was one of the many the supporters questioned during jury selection due to the very reason he is now being dismissed.
Now, alternate Juror #18, chosen by lot by the Judge, will appear in court tomorrow as she lives too far away to be there today. Interestingly, she is one of the 2 alternates that asked the Judge’s permission to observe deliberations prior to the beginning of deliberations. The request was denied; however, it looks like this juror is at least interested in participating in the case enough to ask. That could be good, or bad, we’ll see.
John Lamb and Brand Thronton gave todays updates. Since the jury was sent home, that will probably be the last update for the day from John. If any of the other streamers pop up, I’ll get their reports and add them to this page.
I do Facebook, so you don’t have to.
Quote of the day. After John Lamb says nothing really exciting until tomorrow probably, and that it’s raining a little there. David Brugger says, “Just a little treason, but nothing we shouldn’t be able to handle.” Gosh I love that man.
Last, but most defintely not least, the ever strong Ambassador David Zion Brugger engages in normal in front of the Federal Courthouse chit chat with an enthusiastic pair of Marshalls, or DHS, or Portland City, couldn’t tell, after my week there, they all look the same to me unless I get up closer. So anyway, ENJOY Brother David…see you tomorrow, if not sooner.
