A man was shot at least three times by SWAT officers serving a search warrant Wednesday afternoon in east Fort Worth, Texas.

The man reportedly pointed a handgun at the officers, who then shot him three times. According to police, one bullet grazed the man’s head and two grazed his shoulder.

“It was like maybe 20 police officers coming down Tallie Road to come to see what was going on. It was very, very quick what happened,” said Tyron Johnson, a nearby resident.

It is unclear how the officers entered the home or if they announced that they were serving a warrant on behalf of the Forth Worth Police Department at all.

Did they give the man a chance to comply or did they merely frighten him in his home and give him cause to defend himself against an intruder?

The officers are being questioned as part of an internal investigation, but will there be any investigation from outside the Forth Worth Police Department?
