Are genetically engineered crops and their accompanying pesticides really as safe as government agencies and most of the mainstream media say they are?
Not if the entire history of Monsanto and other companies’ GMO experiment is taken into account, not to mention the warnings of the FDA’s own scientists in the early days of the crops’ approval process.
That’s the message relayed by public interest attorney and author of the book ‘Altered Genes, Twisted Truth’ in a new editorial on the website Independent Science News.
In his seminal book, Druker calls out government agencies for showing a clear bias toward promoting GMOs without first applying the precautionary principle, or listening to scientists who questioned the safety of their products.
“Although it purports to be based on solid science and the open flow of information on which science depends, the massive venture to reconfigure the genetic core of the world’s food supply has substantially relied on the propagation of falsehoods,” Druker says in the editorial, which can be read in its entirety by clicking here.
